Parks & Recreation

The Recreation Commission is an advisory and administrative body established to promote and enhance recreational opportunities within the community. The Commission is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing a broad range of recreational programs, activities, and special events designed to meet the needs and interests of residents of all ages.

The Commission provides guidance on the development, maintenance, and improvement of parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, trails, and other public recreational facilities. It works in cooperation with municipal officials, community organizations, and the public to ensure that recreational resources are safe, accessible, and responsive to community priorities.

In addition to program coordination, the Recreation Commission advises Borough Council on policies, budgetary needs, and long-term planning for recreational services and facilities. The Commission strives to foster community engagement, encourage healthy lifestyles, and enhance the overall quality of life through inclusive and diverse recreational opportunities.
